I’ve been reading the op-ed pages of newspapers since I was 12 years old.  I have my fair share of things to say—-and always wanted to publish them.  That is especially true since I noticed long ago that I’d arrive at conclusions regarding events and then see those ideas trumpeted in the main street media days later.

I’m married with three kids.  We live in the beautiful canyon that connects Malibu with the western San Fernando Valley. I play tennis, trail run, guitar in a Texas Blues band and am a seasoned Diplomacy player.

For well over ten years I worked for Smith Barney.  I began as a retail broker and finished my Wall Street career as a Senior Vice President  working on the municipal bond trading desk buying/selling with the street’s largest institutional clients.  For six years afterwards, I was President of a small entrepreneurial publishing company.  Currrently, I’m exploring for my next challenge.

On the education side, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from California State University Northridge.  After working for a while, I went back to school and received a Master’s Degree in International Political Economy from USC.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.

All the best,

Randy

  7. Hi. Very informative site you have here. I appreciate the good ideas you’ve posted. I also have a personal finance blog, where I post about money and spirituality, and I also cover competitive rates on home loans, among other financial topics. I’m delighted to find a fellow blogger and webmaster who has similar interests.

  8. I barely watch CNBC anymore – way too many commercials considering the quality – or should I say lack thereof – of the available content. For what it’s worth, I’m more optimistic about Michigan than California. If the industrial manufacturing base returns as recently suggested by the WSJ then your state will surely benefit – albeit from a low level of activity. California just lost its last automotive assembly plant (NUMMI) plus the state government in Sacramento is completely dysfunctional – and politically paralyzed.

  9. Hello there! I’m looking just for a real great university to actually check out international affairs. The university should really be somewhere in the US. Someone said to me that definitely the Elliott Institution of International Affairs might be just one from all of the better around the full globe. Does any body just know if the information about the school could be real? It definitely would be absolutely very nice if anybody will have numerous informations just for me.

  10. I found this post while looking for music lyrics. Thanks for sharing I’ll be back regularly.

  11. I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.
